(A), (B) and (C) same at 373 (Xperimental Shuttle) I would need to use some auto-compare software to compare between these two files (A vs. #X3 TERRAN CONFLICT CUSTOM GAME START MOD#I think the mod author inserted new ships in between the default list. Line 374 is centaur sentinel and line 390 is Aamon Prototype. I was comparing (A), (B) and (C) and found out that my current tship file and (B)'s tship file matches, however (C)'s tship file is just so messed up. *Edit 2 - I think Aamon Prototype is the last X3TC Vanilla ship. If so, i'll be editing (A) instead, but it is such a mess to figure out what line the mods from (B) and (C)'s tship files start adding ships. *Edit - Found a post saying that the standalone tship file or aka the one in: D:\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X3 Terran Conflict\types\Tships.pck is the tship file that the game will use, and not the highest numbered cat/dat file. A ship from Ship Expansion mod (B)'s tship file under the Argon race must also be imported to Xtra Ship Pack (C)'s tship file under the Argon race). It would make it hard to find the numbered ship and copy/paste things.I think I need to import each ship line to the proper race (i.e. I will be editing (C)'s tships file instead and that would be used in the game.Īlso one thing about the X3 Editor (v2) it has no feature to sort the ships by ID number. This will hence, involve a lot less copy/pasting. Since Xtra Ship Pack has a lot more ships than X3 Ship Expansion, I plan to make it the highest numbered cat/dat. ![]() However, what happens to the Tships file in D:\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X3 Terran Conflict\types\Tships.pck? This file gets ignored and can be deleted?Īnd so if I were to attempt to merge the mods to my current game, all i need to edit is the tships file of the highest numbered cat/dat? (No other files needed to edit?)Ī - Current tship file in D:\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X3 Terran Conflict\types\Tships.pck which contains the Imperial Star Destroyer and Rebel Alliance ships ![]() #X3 TERRAN CONFLICT CUSTOM GAME START PATCH#I have mainly installed mods using the fake patch method and not the game directory/mod folder method (and then having to tick them on in the game launcher's select mods). if there is a tship file in cat/dat 16 and there is another tship file in cat/dat 17, then it will use the tship file found in cat/dat 17) - provided that the mod is installed using the fake patch method (renaming the cat/dat files to highest numbered cat/dat available). They both have a tships file in their cat file.Īs to my understanding, the game will only use the latest file it can find on the highest cat/dat number (so i.e. Now i plan to add 2 ship mod packs into my current game I can't say for certain what causes it to generate a Tships file, but most probably i think its when you add new ships perhaps. However after I have installed both of them using the X-Universe plug-in manager (.xsp) I noticed i have a tships file in my game directoryĭ:\Program Files (x86)\EGOSOFT\X3 Terran Conflict\types\Tships.pck (The game can only use one tships file at a time) I opened both of these files using the Package Explorer from the X-Universe Plug-in manager just to check if there is a tships file involved, and i did not find any tships file in either of these ship mods. Imperial Star Destroyer.xsp by Deadly Da I have the following ship mods currently installed (both are XSP ships) and downloaded from here: #X3 TERRAN CONFLICT CUSTOM GAME START HOW TO#I am in a bit of a conundrum as to how to proceed to edit the tships file exactly in my case in order to add these ships into my current game (X3TC). ![]()
